Welcome to the Garfield Heights High School Class of 2000 community site (the “Site”). The Site is a private, volunteer-run space for members of our graduating class, their families, and invited guests. By creating an account or using the Site you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. Who may use the Site
The Site is intended for verified members of the Class of 2000 and their close family. When you register you may be asked to confirm your identity as a classmate (for example, by matching the class roster, being vouched for by a verified classmate, or providing other proof). Accounts remain in a limited “pending” state until a volunteer reviewer verifies them. We may decline or revoke verification at our discretion.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account, for keeping your login secure, and for everything done under your account. Please tell us right away if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to register.
3. How you may behave
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Code of Conduct and Community Guidelines. In short: be kind, be honest, respect other classmates’ privacy, and do not use the Site to harass, defraud, spam, or break the law.
4. Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos, messages, listings, and other content you share. By posting, you give the Site permission to store and display that content to the audience you choose (see the Privacy Policy’s privacy tiers) so the community features work. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
5. Payments
Some features let you buy event tickets, class merchandise, or make donations to reunion and scholarship funds. Payments are processed by third-party providers (currently Stripe and PayPal); we do not receive or store your full card details. Prices, availability, and refund arrangements are described where you check out. For questions about an order or a refund, contact us at reunion@classof2000.info.
6. Third-party services and AI
The Site uses third-party services to operate, including payment processors, email and text-message delivery, and web hosting. Some news and newsletter content on the Site is generated with the help of artificial-intelligence tools and is reviewed by a volunteer before it is published. AI-assisted content may contain errors; treat it as informal, community-generated information.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms or the Code of Conduct, that appears not to belong to a genuine classmate, or where necessary to protect the community. You may close your own account at any time from your account settings.
8. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Site is provided by volunteers on an “as-is” basis, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it running and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the organizers, volunteers, and hosting provider are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a significant change we will update the version and the “last updated” date, and we may ask you to review and accept the new version the next time you sign in.
